Manufactured in 1978. Colt factory Class "D" floral scroll engraving covering nearly all of the metal surfaces. Marked "COLT ENG" under the left grip panel and the grips are numbered "99566". The included factory letter list the revolver in .44 Special with a 7 1/2 inch barrel and blue finish when shipped to Bellefontaine, Ohio on 25 March 1980, with the grips and engraving not listed. Also includes a Colt Custom Shop leatherette case, and the original shipping box with label listing the engraving.

Excellent, retains 99% plus original blue and casehardened finishes with only the slightest handling marks, faint traces of a cylinder drag line, crisp engraving, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent with minimal handling evidence and the box is very good with mild wear and a few small tears.
