Manufactured in 1853 with a brass cone front sight, the two-line New York barrel address, standard stagecoach cylinder scene and patent markings, "U" and "G" on the left side of the trigger guard, and matching serial numbers on the various components, including the grip. The included non-factory modern custom fitted hardwood case contains a double sided eagle pattern powder flask, cartridge pack, cap tin, a blued Colt patent bullet mold with a sprue cutter and a few balls/bullets.

Very fine, retains 75% original blue finish, 40% of the muted case colors, and 90% plus original silver plating with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina. The grip is also very fine with some light dings and scratches scattered throughout, and retaining almost all of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The custom case is very fine with minimal handling/storage marks and some light wear on the interior. The bullet mold is excellent with generally mild wear.
