Description:

From 1900 to 1907 only 74 units of this model were manufactured, and all units are found in the serial number range 1-74. The revolver has a target front sight (likely a replacement), one-line barrel rib marking, "38 WINCHESTER CTG" marked on the left side of the barrel, right grip panel renumbered to a different gun, and matching serial numbers on the butt, 1 9/16 inch cylinder, barrel and barrel latch.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. 50% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger guard. The replacement grips are also fine with some scattered minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection.
