Description:

The New Model 3 dominated target competitions in the late 1800s, and are found in the serial number range below 4,333. Of the 4,333 target variations manufactured, only 1,413 were chambered in .38-44 caliber. It has target sights, two-line barrel rib markings, and matching serial numbers on the butt, 1 7/16 inch cylinder, barrel and barrel latch.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining 80% original blue finish with a smooth brown-gray patina on the balance. 90% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger guard. The faded grips are very good with some worn checkering. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Dr. Gerald Klaz collection.
