Manufactured in 1921. The carbine is fitted with a pinned blade front sight and a rear sight graduated to "18" on the ladder and "10" on the base. A saddle ring is mounted on the left side of the receiver. The top of the receiver is stamped with a Winchester factory oval proof as well as the caliber designation. The left side of the receiver has the standard two-line address/patent dates marking. The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information. The serial number and letter "B" are stamped across the lower tang behind the trigger. The nicely figured buttstock is fitted with a trapdoor buttplate. Comes with a bore pull through.

Excellent, retaining 98% plus bright original blue finish showing minimal cycling wear and some mild thinning on the buttplate. The wood is also excellent showing very limited minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. This Model 1895 saddle ring carbine would be difficult to improve upon! An exceptional example of Winchester's first box magazine rifle!
