Description:

1) Scarce c. mid-1800s Vauthier-Rue Dauphine No. 40 marked folding stilletto with the grip scales scrimshawed with floral and vine patterns. 12 3/8 inches overall with a 5 3/8 inch blade. 2) French or Spanish yataghan style folding knife with German silver handle and pearl grip scales scrimshawed with floral patterns. 12 1/4 inches overall with a 5 1/2 inch blade.

Rating Definition:

1) Good, blade showing mostly grey patina with some moderate pitting and handle fine with some mild wear. 2) Fine, blade a bright grey patina with evidence of mild sharpening/cleaning and some light pitting, and the handle very good with some mild handling evidence and generally an attractive antique patina.
