This model was only manufactured briefly in the mid-1870s and limited to about 3,000 revolvers. This example has the standard barrel marking and has very attractive scroll engraving, gold wash on the cylinder and hammer, and smooth pearl grips.

Very fine with 95% plus original nickel, 70% original gold wash, smooth dark gray patina on the balance, some spots of slight pitting, and generally only mild age and storage related wear. The grips are also very fine and have attractive natural varied tones, light scratches, and minor handling wear. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The John Fox Collection.
