The Colt Model 1849 Pocket was manufactured in larger quantities than any other 19th century Colt firearm and was one of the most popular of all 19th century revolvers and helped make Colt synonymous with revolvers. A '49 Pocket belongs in every antique American firearms collection, and this high condition cased example would enhance any collection. It was manufactured in 1869 and has standard markings and features, including all matching serial numbers. The case contains a key, Colt patent bullet mold, cartridge pack, cap tin, and eagle powder flask.

Very fine with 95% bright, original, high polish blue finish on the barrel, 30% original blue on the cylinder, 85% plus original, vibrant case colors, traces of original silver plating in the protected areas, aged patina on the remaining silver and exposed brass, smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, distinct markings and cylinder scene, and relatively minor overall wear. The grip is fine aside from slight chipping at the toe and retains nearly all of the original glossy finish. Mechanically fine. The case and accessories are all fine or better and have mild age and storage related wear.
