Manufactured c. 1820s with an 37 inch overall length curved blade with gold accented floral and martial etching and niter blue backgrounds terminating in scroll patterns, classical patterns on the gilded brass hilt including a bestial mask on the finial, distinctive eagle head pommel, and checkered and carved antique bone grip. The golf plated scabbard has acanthus scroll engraving as well as a spread wing eagle and shield motif between the bands.

Fine with 40% original niter blue, gold remaining in the etching, fairly bright balance of the blade, some mild oxidation/pitting, traces of gilding on the hilt, crisp designs, some cracks and repairs in the grip, a few small dents in the scabbard which has considerable original gold remaining, and general minor overall wear.
