Description:

The bronze barrel of the cannon is marked "ARESENAL DE GUERRA DA CORTE 1868", roughly translated to "war arsenal of the court", across the rear band. The rifled barrel itself has bore of 3.45 inches, is approximately 37 1/2 inches long and 13 inches wide which are marked "No38" and "130Ko" on the left and right respectively. It is mounted on a hardwood naval style carriage that is approximately 24 inches long with a 26 inch wheel base.

Rating Definition:

Fine showing generally an attractive antique patina on the bronze, primarily made up of bright verdigris and some minor dings and dents scattered throughout, typical of use. The later added custom made carriage is also fine with some mild wear and minor handling marks scattered throughout. Overall an attractive looking cannon that would make an excellent décor piece!
