Description:

1) Wakizashi length blade, 21 3/4 inches overall with a 16 3/4 inch edge, fullers, and two mekugi-ana. The unsigned tang is cut off square, with the fullers running right off the end. With a set of shirasaya furniture and a round iron tsuba decorated with river scenes. 2) Small sword, 24 inches overall, 17 1/2 inch blade with a straight hamon, serrated silver plated habaki, four-lobed copper tsuba, black cord wrap over animal themed menuki, and a red and black lacquer saya with silver fittings. The tang is unsigned, with one mekugi-ana.

Rating Definition:

1) Fair, with spotting, nicks and polishing on the bright portion and mild handling marks overall. 2) Fair, with mild wear overall and some pitting and grain splits in the blade.
