Also known as the "India Pattern." Widely used in the British Empire in the first half of the 19th century. It has various small governmental markings and the standard "TOWER" and Georgian cipher markings on the lock. The buttplate has "RF/C" over an unclear marking that appears to be "12" or "19." There is a more recent "246" markings further up the tang, and "246 C" on the ramrod. The bayonet has "F/37" on the socket, "398" near the base of the blade, and a leather scabbard with brass fittings.

Fine with mottled gray and brown patina on the barrel and lock fittings, mostly bright lock plate, replaced lock screw, some light pitting and oxidation, generally distinct markings (see above), aged patina on the brass furniture, and relatively light overall wear. The stock is very fine and has some dents and scratches, modification at the sling swivel, streak in the finish along the top of the wrist, and mild overall wear. Mechanically fine. The bayonet has mottled gray and brown patina and light pitting. The scabbard is very good with moderate wear.
