The barrel is unmarked and fitted with a ramped beaded blade front and elevated four-leaf express rear sight with three folding leaves and one standing. The action is engraved with a belted badge with the W.J. Jeffrey King Street address and serial number at the center, some light border engraving, rosettes around the screws, and "SAFE" on the right. Mounted with a checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with contrasting caps, a sling swivel stud, and lightly engraved trapdoor buttplate. Includes a Firearms Service Corp. receipt indicating a chamber cast was done and that the rifle is chambered in .45-70 Gov.

Fine as refinished, retains 99% blue finish and 90% case colors with the balance a smooth grey patina, some minor dings, a few patches of light surface pitting, and crisp recut engraving. The refinished wood is also fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches, a few minor repairs including a repaired crack on the left side of the wrist, and mostly crisp checkering. The safety does not function as it should, otherwise mechanically fine.
