Description:

These short range target guns were popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The smoothbore barrel has a variety of gold, silver, and copper inlays in floral patterns; a blade front sight, notch rear sight, and flutes. The hammer has silver inlaid scrolls on the sides and silver pins down the back. The action on the upper tang and around the hammer as well as the buttplate and trigger plate finial have crosshatch and pin decoration. The stock has the crosshatch and pin decoration overall.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall with 60% original blue finish remaining, mostly gray and brown patina on the balance of the metal, mild oxidation, some silver pins absent from the metal and stock, some slivers of wood absent by the lower tang, and general moderate overall wear. Mechanically fine.
