Blued chopper lump steel barrels with matted solid rib marked "A.D. VOELKER, BUENOS AIRES, SAN MARTIN 379.", both barrels marked "SPECIAL.GEWEHR.LAUF/STAHL" and "FRIED.KRUPP.A.G./ESSEN", the breeches are marked "J. P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL", 2 3/4 inch chambers, chokes measured at improved cylinder/modified, and dual white bead sights. The action displays many desirable features in a double gun including deep relief engraved and gold inlaid side clipped fences, doll's head extension with Greener cross bolt, and scalloped receiver. The action is also decorated with fine floral scrollwork, the aforementioned fence work, and gold inlaid birds on either side of the receiver. The barrels have matching wedges at the breech extending about 1 3/4 inches onto the barrel and a gold inlaid "I" on the doll's head. Beautifully figured walnut straight grip stock and splinter forend with multi-point checkering, blank silver initial oval on the underside of the stock, and ventilated rubber buttpad. Includes an extra 26 7/8 inch barrel set numbered to the gun with matching engraving and gold inlaid "II" on the doll's head as well as a hardwood takedown case with purple interior lining. Barrel set "I" bore and stock measurements (R/L): bores 9 inches from the breech proved at "13/1" (.719) and measure at .721/.722 inches; choke constriction .012/.022 inches; minimum wall thickness .036/.030 inches; drop at comb 1 11/16 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; length of pull 14 3/4 inches; weight 7 lbs 12 oz. Barrel set "II" bore measurements (R/L): bores 9 inches from breech proved at "13/1" (.719 inches) and measure at .750/.734 inches, choke constriction .007/.009 inches; minimum wall thickness .028/.024 inches.

Very fine as professionally refurbished, retaining 99% blue finish with a brush bright finish to the action. Overall minor handling evidence and sharp engraving and gold inlay work. The wood is also very fine with a few minor scratches and nicks and crisp checkering. The extra barrel set is attractively refinished and shortened. The case is fair with numerous scratches and some of the leather and one strap absent and the others are replacements. The interior has some stains and a loose partition. Mechanically excellent.
