This attractive Ritterbusch customized Mauser medium game rifle features delicate gold inlaid scroll borders and geometric patterns on the action, rib, muzzle, floorplate, trigger guard, bolt handle, and grip cap. The medium weight barrel is fitted with a sling swivel stud, ramped and hooded beaded blade front sight, and dovetailed three-leaf express rear sight with one standing leaf and two folding on the cross-hatch engraved quarter rib that is marked "Ritterbusch .308 Win 16306". The screw heads including the reinforcing cross-bolt and end of the checkered bolt handle are engraved with rosettes, and "S*F" is engraved to indicate the safety position. The casehardened action has cross-hatch engraving on the tops of the receiver rings and is fitted with two dovetailed scope bases and rings, and a gold washed set trigger. It is mounted with a very finely figured multi-point checkered stock with horn forend cap, pistol grip with casehardened cap, shadowline cheek piece, rear sling swivel stud, and a solid leather-wrapped recoil pad.

Excellent, retains 99% blue finish and 85% of the case colors with the balance a smooth grey patina with a few scattered light handling marks and some light spotting on the bolt handle. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered light dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
