Single steel bead sight on the matte vent rib barrels marked "Abbiatico & Salvinelli" in fancy script on the left side with 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, standard Italian proofs on the block, and modified/full chokes. Bright coin finished action with single non-selective trigger, and tang mounted sliding manual safety. The action is engraved with fine leafy scroll bordering highly detailed bulino engraved big cat scenes of African lions on the right, tigers on the left, and a leopard in a tree on the underside. The underside of the action is marked "Guy Coheleach" just behind the forearm shoe, and the leopard scene is signed "Galeazzi Inc" for Italian Master Engraver Fausti Galeazzi. Guy Coheleach is an American wildlife painter and the wonderful engraved scenes are taken from his work. The identified paintings are "Serengeti Bachelors" and "Brace of Bengals". With a finely figured checkered forearm with engraved fittings and straight grip buttstock with gold inlaid "GC" in script on the underside, and checkered bare butt. Includes factory leather bound takedown case with nickel oil bottle, extra firing pins, snap caps, three London pattern turnscrews, and cleaning rod with heads. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/8 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.

Excellent with 99% original slightly plum blue finish on the barrels, scattered light handling marks, and crisp highly detailed engraving on the action and locks. The forearm has a very small hairline crack on the underside at the shoe, otherwise, the wood is excellent with crisp checkering, and some scattered light dings. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with scattered exterior dings and storage marks.
