Manufactured in 1945. Blade front and flat-top notch rear sights, standard two-line address and patent marking on left side of slide, caliber marking on the right, "U.S. PROPERTY" marking on right side of frame, Colt "VP" proof on left side of trigger guard, and checkered grips with silver medallions.

Very fine with 85% plus original parkerized finish remaining, some areas of visible high point and edge wear, scattered small scratches, and some small spots of a mild brown patina. The grips are also very fine with mostly sharp checkering, some small dings, and mild patina on the medallions. Mechanically excellent.
