Description:

Blade front and notch rear sights, with the "DWM" monogram on the front toggle link and "LOEWE & CO/OBERNDORF/A/N" engraved and gold filled on the receiver ring. The serial numbers are a mixture of the military and commercial patterns, with the only visible proofmark being an "Imperial Eagle" on the left side of the breechblock, and the back strap showing evidence of a stock lug having been removed; overall, this suggests that the pistol was made with a combination of new-made and pre-Weimar Luger components. The small parts show a fine straw finish, with "GESICHERT" on the upper safety position and "GELADEN" on the extractor, checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine with a plain hardwood base.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 95% plus Weimar-era blue finish, showing some minor pits and blemishes beneath the surface, bright edge wear, and mild oxidization and handling marks. The straw colors are generally strong, darkening slightly on the takedown lever and wearing bright on the trigger face and high edges. The grips are also very fine, with mild dings. Mechanically excellent.
