Description:

Manufactured in relatively limited quantities, a number of Mauser pistols were shipped to Sweden for commercial sale in Stockholm during World War II. Having maintained a policy of armed neutrality through the 1930s and into the war, Sweden was open for business, and the arms trade was one of those businesses. Blade and notch sights, with a "1940" dated chamber, the "Mauser Banner" logo on the front toggle link, and the "Kal. 7,65" caliber marking on the left side of the barrel. A set of "eagle/N" commercial proofs are present, along with an externally matching set of "military pattern" serial numbers (minus the magazine). Fitted with a set of straw finished small parts, checkered hardwood grips, and a nickel magazine with an alloy base. Includes a brown leather flap holster and an unnumbered extra magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% of the original blue finish (plus some touched up areas on the frame), showing bright wear on the edges and high points, a gray patina forming on the grip straps, minor scratches and light handling marks. 75% of the original straw colors are present. The grips are very fine, with light dings and stains. Mechanically excellent. The holster is excellent, with mild scuffs and scratches.
