Description:

This is a beautiful example of a desirable post-WWII, Mosin-Nagant style sniper rifle that was produced by the Hungarian state-run factory. These rifles are a direct copy of the WWII Russian version of the 1891/30 Mosin-Nagant sniper rifle, except they show much better machining with excellent fit and finish. The top of the rear section of the barrel is marked with "02", the manufacturer's code for the Hungarian factory, over "1954", the year of manufacture, and the serial number. The scope is mounted in the traditional Russian style side mount, marked with a circled "B" and "02", with an "02" marked ring set and the scope body marked "41/1952/513814" and "3552". Smooth straight-wrist stock, with "B" and "02" stamps on the right side, leather sling and steel buttplate. A set of leather lens covers is also included.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% plus original blue finish, showing some minor handling marks and a small amount of spotting. The stock is very fine, with a hairline crack near the cutout for the scope base and mild dents and scuffs overall. The optics are a bit hazy, but the scope is otherwise in fine order. Mechanically excellent.
