The included factory letter states that this shotgun was manufactured in 1918 and shipped to W. F. Markman of Toledo, Ohio. The letter also states that this shotgun is one of no more than an estimated 12 manufactured. Blued matted vent rib barrel with two beads and floral engraved breech block signed "Ithaca Gun Co." in a banner on both sides. The chamber measures at 2 3/4 inches, automatic ejector, and choke measures at full. Near full coverage engraving on the receiver consisting of floral motifs surrounding raise relief gold inlaid dogs on either side of the receiver, a bald eagle clutching three arrows on the bottom of the receiver with contrasting silver accents for the eagle's head and the arrow fletching and points, and a stag on the trigger guard. Nicely figured straight grip walnut stock with cheekpiece, ventilated Pachmayr butt pad, and fine checkering on the forearm and wrist. Bore and stock measurements: chamber measure at 2 3/4 inch; bore nine inches from the breech .731 inches; choke .032 inches; minimum wall thickness .039 inches; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 3/8 inches.

Very fine, retaining 90% refinished blue on the barrel with some areas thinning, traces of original casehardened finish with the balance a dull silvered patina on the receiver. The gold wash on the trigger is showing some wear and the gold inlays are all very fine. The upper and lower tangs show some polishing and spotting. The stock has a few minor dings but is overall very fine with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
