This Winchester print was used in a variety of Winchester advertisements and depicts a barn setting with white "bear dogs" in the foreground and two large brown dogs that may be bloodhounds in the background. These dogs were reportedly part of the Winchester family hunting pack. The lower left corner is signed by the artist "H. R. Poore/Philadelphia". The interior trim of the frame has been altered to a very nicely laid in canvas strip, replacing the old brass. The original Winchester walnut frame is marked with "WINCHESTER" across the top, Winchester Ws in all four corners, three shot shells descending on both sides, and "RIFLES. SHOTGUNS FOR SALE HERE and AMMUNITION" across the bottom. The frame measures approximately 41 inches in width and 31 3/4 inches in height overall, with the observable area of the print measuring approximately 34 inches in width and 24 1/2 inches in height.

Very good with glass subsequently added to protect image, showing vivid colors in the print, a few scattered tiny pin prick holes along the bottom third, and other very minor imperfections. The frame is sturdy and most of the slightly deteriorated decoration and words remain clearly visible with some touch up visible on corner shells. This piece would make a fantastic addition to any advertising or Winchester collection!
