Manufactured in 1956-1957. Features 60% coverage engraved floral scrollwork with punch dot background on the barrel, frame, and cylinder. Rear of cylinder features a line of punch dots. Ejector shroud features checkered engraving with punch dot centers. The frame, barrel rib, and front of cylinder feature gold wire inlay. Gold inlaid lines also create panels for the "SMITH & WESSON" and "44 MAGNUM" markings on the barrel. The left side of the frame features a gold inlaid ram with a gold inlaid bear on the right side. The revolver's features are otherwise standard. With display case with empty cartridge block.

Excellent as embellished. Retaining 98% plus refinished blue finish with minimal handling marks and a purple hue on the barrel, the faintest of cylinder drag lines and crisp engraving. The grips are fine with a few dings, most of the varnish remaining, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with some minor handling wear and typical high edge wear.
