Manufactured in 1970, this was the first Colt D-frame revolver to feature a shortened butt with overlapping grips as standard. Serrated ramp blade front sight and adjustable rear target sight. Full lug barrel, with vent rib and "DIAMONDBACK/.38 SPECIAL CTG." on the left side. Matte finish on top of vent rib and the frame, to reduce glare. Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. Wide serrated target hammer and serrated trigger. Checkered square butt walnut grips with nickel Colt medallions. Includes a Colt "woodgrain" box hand numbered to the gun.

Near new in box with minimal scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good.
