Description:

An estimated 12,000 of these pistols were manufactured before the National Arms Co. was purchased by Colt in 1870. The maker's marking is not legible, but this revolver has the same assembly style markings ("BK30" under the left grip) as other National Arms Co. derringers. It has the standard style of engraving. Only the "0" at the end of the serial number on the barrel is legible.

Rating Definition:

Good with smooth gray patina on the steel, attractive natural aged patina on the brass frame, crisp engraving, distinct carving from the eagle's legs and above, some repairs on the left grip panel, minor crack on the right panel, and general mild wear. Mechanically fine. Provenance: The John Fox Collection.
