Manufactured in 1901 with the standard two-line address and caliber designation on the upper barrel flat, three-line model designation/trademark/patent date on the upper tang, and serial number on the bottom of the receiver. The left side of the lower tang is marked "11821 CF", with "11821" repeated on the butt of the stock and on the inside of the buttplate. The special order 30 inch full octagon barrel is fitted with German silver blade front and elevation adjustable rear buckhorn sights. It is also fitted with a special order double set trigger and half magazine. It is mounted with an "I" pattern checkered, straight grain, forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap and a crescent buttplate. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration, including the special order features and extra length barrel, as well as receipt at the warehouse on 22 October 1901, shipment on 23 October 1901, and return for repair on 8 November 1903. According to Madis in "The Winchester Book", out of the Model 1894 rifles manufactured from 1894-1932, only one out of every 1,250 were made with a longer than standard barrel and only one out of every 800 were ordered with special wood. The checkered pistol grip stock, 30 inch barrel and double set triggers are a combination of special order features rarely encountered on Model 1894s.

Very fine, retains 90% original high polish blue finish, 85% vivid original case colors remain on the hammer, lever and buttplate, and 75% original nitre blue on the loading gate with the balance having mostly thinned to a smooth grey patina and some scattered brown spotting on the receiver. The wood is also very fine with some scattered minor dings and scratches and a few minor blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
