Manufactured in 1928. Standard nickel steel/smokeless powder marking on the left rear of the barrel followed by "405 W.C.F." at the breech, the Winchester two-line address/patent dates on the left side of the receiver, the three-line model, maker, trademark information on the upper tang and the serial number on the lower tang. Lyman front blade sight and adjustable semi-buck horn rear sight. Mounted with a smooth Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and straight grip stock with a steel crescent buttplate.

Very good. The rifle retains 40% original blue finish thinning on the barrel and scattered areas of smooth gray patina on the receiver and magazine. The buttplate has a smooth mottled gray patina. The lightly sanded wood has been refinished and remains very good with some light handling marks. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
