According to the accompanying Buffalo Bill Historical Center letter, factory records confirm the shotgun has a 30 inch barrel in 12 gauge when it was shipped on October 26, 1891. Single bead sight, standard "WRACO" monogram on the left side of the receiver, and smooth two-piece slab forend and pistol grip stock. The buttstock is non-factory fitted with an unmarked recoil pad that predates the recoil pads featuring Winchester's name. Length of pull is 13 1/2 inches. Fine, retaining 60% original blue finish thinning to a brown. 30% original case colors remain on the receiver, hammer and lever. The refinished wood is fine with a small absent sliver and a short hairline stress crack at the upper tang, otherwise some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
