Description:

Fifth Model Burnside carbine that was manufactured in 1863-1865 with standard markings and features. Two clear script Ordnance inspection marks are stamped on the left stock wrist. Provenance: Firearms for Freedom Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 75% original blue finish and 60% original case colors overall with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina and a few scattered patches of light pitting. The wood is also very fine with minor dings and scratches, a gouge underneath forend, replacement forend screw, and two exceptional crisp cartouches visible on the wrist. Mechanically excellent.
