Description:

Manufactured in 1906 with standard markings and features, matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap, and assembly number "7566" on the loading gate. The insides of the grips have hand scratched initials and names. Includes a Chas. E. Collins leather holster. Included correspondence with Colt lists the revolver in .45 caliber with a 7 1/2 inch barrel (possibly a factory error as the revolver is 5 1/2 inch) and blue finish when shipped to Wyeth Hardware Co. in St. Joseph, Missouri on 1 January 1907.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus, retains 25% of the original blue finish and 30% plus of the original case colors with the balance a mottled brown-grey patina and a few scattered patches of light pitting. The grips are very fine with some light dings and scratches, and mostly crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is fine with some moderate wear.
