British flintlock sporting rifle manufactured by Patrick of Liverpool; either Gunmaker Edward Patrick who was active 1815-1820, or his daughter Ann Patrick active 1820-1830. Although smaller, this rifle shares visual similarities with a Baker rifle. Scroll engraving on the breech end of the barrel, tang, screws, lock, and hammer. Ramrod present. "LIVERPOOL" on top of the barrel. "PATRICK" on the lock. Sliding safety on the lock behind the hammer. The brass trigger guard has a grip extension and a hole for a sling swivel is on the front. Brass fittings, escutcheon, patch box and buttplate. Walnut stock with raised cheek piece.

Rating Definition:

Very good with brown and gray patina, minor patches of pitting, nicely aged patina on the brass, some general handling marks, mostly distinct markings, and general mild wear. Stock is good with scattered scratches and dents, repaired and spliced sections visible at the front, crack at the right front, front and rear sling swivels absent, and the end cap separating on the right. Mechanically fine.
