Manufactured in 1890 on a size "3" frame. According to the chart on page 308 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote, this as one of only 8 produced in this configuration. Blued Damascus steel barrels with single steel bead sight on the solid, concave matted rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL." The barrels have 3 inch chambers with single extractor, single bands of engraving at either breech, and standard markings on the flats. The casehardened boxlock action bears the standard BH grade engraving incorporating fine floral scroll with "PARKER BROS" banners on either side and a pair of pointers on the left, a brood of woodcocks on the underside, a pair of setters on the right, and two more pointers on the trigger guard. Beautifully engraved and lightly sculpted fences, double triggers, and tang mounted manual safety switch. Lightly figured, fancy checkered walnut forearm with engraved fittings and a Deeley latch release and a pistol grip stock with checkered and fleur-de-lis carved flats, blank brass inscription oval in the grip cap, and engraved skeleton buttplate over the checkered bare butt. The gun is listed and the above configuration is confirmed on page 228 of "Parker Gun Identification and Serialization" by Price and Fjestad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameters measured 9 inches from the breech .799/.796 inches; choke constriction .028/.031 inches; 2 inch drop at comb; 3 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 9 lbs 6 oz.

Fine, showing an attractive even grey patina on the barrels, silvered case colors on the action with traces in the protected areas, and grey patina on the trigger guard with blue remaining in the protected areas. The metal shows some minor scratches and a few tiny dents in the barrels. The revarnished wood is very good with some dings and scratches, some chipping along the edges, slight remnants of a white substance on the butt end of the stock, areas of absent varnish on the stock, and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
