Blued steel chopper lump barrels with white beaded blade front sight on a raised rib section, folding two leaf express rear sight with gold center lines and marked for 50 and 100 yards respectively, claw style scope mounts on the raised rear quarter rib. The barrels also feature single bands of engraving on either breech, simple "P. Beretta - Italy" marking on the left barrel, and standard Beretta and Italian proofs including the "BF" date code indicating production in 1995. The coin finished receiver features bushed firing pins, hand detachable pinless sidelock, a substantial bolster, and fine hand cut engraving incorporating floral scroll and three of Africa's "Big Five" game animals. The left lock plate features a large bull elephant standing his ground in an African savanna scene, the right lock plate displays a rhinoceros in a similar savanna scene to that of the elephant, and the underside depicts a cape buffalo peering out of the tall grass. The upper tang, release lever, fences, and lower tang all feature the same beautiful scrollwork seen on the receiver. A banner on the underside below the buffalo is marked "CAL. 416 RIGBY". The engraver's signature "S. Venzi inc." can be seen on the right hand side of the trigger plate. The beaded edge trigger guard houses double triggers and the upper tang holds the manual sliding safety. Beautiful, highly figured, multi-point checkered walnut forearm with engraved fittings and a lever release. The pistol grip stock is of the same quality and features coin finished grip cap with trapdoor and a trapdoor cartridge storage area in the butt for two cartridges with the initials "JNC", both trapdoors have the same style scroll engraving that is found on the rest of the rifle. Included with this fine rifle is a leather bound Beretta takedown case with brass hardware containing four rosewood handled turn screws, scope rings, and an extra front sight blade. The length of pull is 14 11/16 inches and the weight is 11 lbs 2 oz.

Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and 97% plus original coin finishes. The coin shows a few areas of minor discoloration and one dark spot on the right hand side of the underside. The wood is very fine with a few scattered small marks, some small chips along the edges of the metal and wood junctions, and overall crisp checkering on both the forearm and stock. The case is very good with some scuffs and scratches and the accessories are very fine. Mechanically excellent. An opportunity to own one of the best Berretta has ever built!
