Manufactured in 1901. Equipped with the blade front and early style frame notch rear sights. The frame has the early "*COLT'S*/ (Rampant Colt)/ NEW SERVICE" marking on the left side, niter blue smooth trigger and checkered hammer, and the webless grip frame with a swiveling lanyard ring in the butt. Grips are period, possibly retailer installed pearl.

Very fine, retaining 80% original high polish blue finish with scattered spotting, light cylinder drag line, and front and rear straps thinning to a brown. Fine highly attractive pearl grips. Mechanically excellent.
