Manufactured in 1948. Manufactured in 1953, per the Winchester Arms Collectors Association. Standard markings including and features. Mounted with a fourteen-groove slide handle and pistol grip stock. Includes a Model 42 Gunsmith manual. Chamber marked "2 1/2" as well as a non-factory "3" struck below (obviously it was opened up to a 3 inch chamber by a non-factory gunsmith), "SKEET" marked choke, 1 5/16 inch drop at comb, 2 1/8 inch drop at heel, and 14 inch length of pull.

Very fine, retaining 90% original blue finish with light handling/use evidence. The wood is fine with some scratches and dings and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
