Fine Grouping of World War II Airborne Artifacts

The group includes a number of items for the WWII Airborne/Special Forces Community. Contents are a "SPECIAL RECON. BN." shoulder rocker, two "U.S." lapel pins, two 2nd Lieutenant metal shoulder bars, a patch featuring two bullion service bars, silver Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, three ribbon bars (Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, WWII Victory, American Campaign), three patches (one "AIRBORNE" over a white glider and parachute on a red field, a bullion Nationalist Chinese shield, and a paratrooper badge with Nationalist Chinese emblems) and photos. The photos depict a mix of American and possibly Chinese soldiers, some of the former carrying Johnson LMGs (primarily associated with Special Forces outfits in Europe, especially Italy) and the latter appearing to be engaged in parachute training. Provenance: The Putnam Green/Sycamore Collection

ConditionThe Combat Infantryman Badge shows mild scuffs, and the photos show some curling and edge wear. Otherwise, the contents of the case are very good.
