A very fine example of one of only 1,000 "lange" barrel or artillery model Luger pistols ordered by the Persian government in 1934. This contract was fulfilled from 1935-1936 and also included 2,000 4 inch barreled Lugers. These pistols exhibit the same high quality fit and finish exhibited by other Mauser-made Lugers, and truly show their willingness to please their customers through the personalized crests and complete set of Farsi markings. The chamber area is marked with the Persian "crown/lion/sunburst" crest, a "crown/crown/U" proof on the left of the barrel extension, and the remainder of the markings in Farsi. The full transliterated serial number "3784" is on the front of the frame and left of the barrel extension, with the last two digits on various small parts. Includes a correct board type stock numbered to pistol "3807" on the left of the wrist, a leather holster/carry harness, a double magazine pouch, and two extra magazines. All three included magazines are nickel finished with aluminum bases and numbered to the pistol in Farsi.

Very fine, retains 85% original blue finish, 60% of the original straw colors, and 95% original nitre blue with the balance a smooth grey patina, primarily in the form of holster type wear on edges and the grip areas. The grips are fine with some scattered minor blemishes and flat spots in the checkering, which is mostly crisp. Mechanically excellent. The accessories are all very good or better with some mild wear and handling marks.
