Standard pre-war commercial Broomhandle Mauser with the three line "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF a/N" marking on the top of the chamber area and "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A NECKAR" on the right side. The left flat of the barrel and top of the bolt are marked with "crown/crown/U" proofs. Fitted with 33-groove walnut grips both numbered to the gun, the left grip is also hand marked with what is possibly a name and has a small piece of paper similarly marked. Includes a wooden shoulder stock with attaching iron numbered to the gun and a leather carry harness.

Fine, retains 75% original blue finish and 40% original nitre blue with the balance a smooth grey patina and some patches of light grey patina. The grips are very good with some scattered minor dings and scratches. The stock is very fine with some scattered light dings and scratches and the harness shows some mild wear. Mechanically excellent
