Description:

Manufactured by the firm of V. Charles Schilling of Suhl, the Bergmann was developed in the mid 1890s, improved upon by Louis Schmeisser, and was produced in limited numbers. Blade front and notch rear sights, German "crown/crown/U" proofs, Schilling "mountain man" oval logo on the right side of the frame, and a series of numbers on the individual components to denote order of disassembly. Fitted with a straw finished trigger and hammer, nitre blue safety, and checkered walnut grips. Provenance: The Clive Cussler Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with some light scattered spotting and some light handling marks. 75% bright original straw colors visible on the small parts and 60% nitre blue finish on the safety lever. Grips are very fine with some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
