Description:

Brass blade front and fixed notch rear sights on an octagon barrel with script engraved "S * L" on top of the barrel flat near the breech. The light scroll engraved lock plate has scenery of flying game birds and is not maker marked. Brass furniture including the end cap and ramrod guides, single screw plate on the left, hand rest trigger guard, border engraved patch box, and curved buttplate. Full length curved striped walnut stock with a raised cheekpiece. Brass tipped wood ramrod.

Rating Definition:

Very good with some mild flash pitting, surface corrosion on the lock and breech area, some spots of white paint on the muzzle end of the barrel, and an overall dark brown patina. Stock is also very good with some scattered scratches and dents, a chipped section on the right side of the barrel tang behind the hammer, with an overall fine figure. The brass patchbox, triggerguard, and ramrod pipes are all fine with dark attractively aged patina. Mechanically fine.
