This is a U.S. Navy/U.S.M.C. training device for the Model 1911A1 pistol. The device consists of a transparent, plastic cut-away Model of a 1911A1 pistol in an aluminum case. Movement of four external levers demonstrates the various cycling/functions of the 1911A1 pistol. Screwed to the bottom left corner of the base is a 1956 dated metal nomenclature/property tag stamped "ANIMATED TRANSPARENCY, CAL .45 AUTO PISTOL" with serial number 37. With aluminum case that houses the training device and five see through bullets.
