Manufactured in 1927 on a "000" frame. Blued, Parker Steel marked barrels featuring single steel bead sights on the matted, concave solid rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER STEEL", single band of light engraving at either breech, "circled P" proof on the right flat, and chambers measured at 2 1/2 inches with ejectors. The casehardened action bares the standard light zig-zag line engraved borders, "PARKER BROS" on both sides, and standard markings on the water table. Double triggers and tang mounted automatic safety. Multi-point checkered walnut splinter forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and straight grip stock with blank initial inscription shield and a Parker Brothers dog's head buttplate. Page 554 of "Parker Gun Identification & Serialization" by Price and Fjestad lists this gun in this configuration with the exception of the Parker Steel barrels, which is likely just a clerical oversight, as Parker Steel barrels were a holdover from the PH grade and the barrels have matching serial number markings. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): choke constriction .010/.010 inches; 1 3/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/8 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 12 oz.

Very fine, retaining 95% original blue on the barrels, 25% original case colors on the action with some flashes of color and the balance an attractive silver, and a mix of brown and grey patina on the triggerguard. The metal shows some wear and scattered scratches. The forearm\ has two cracks at the rear, otherwise the lightly sanded wood is very good with light marks, a slightly undersized buttplate from the shortening of the stock, and well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
