Description:

The barrel has a bead style blade front sight, notch rear sight, "JOHN BLANCH & SON LONDON" inscribed on top, and "1959," Birmingham proofs, and "M&H" on the bottom. The breech plug, tang, lock, and furniture have primarily scroll engraving. The lock is also signed "JOHN BLANCH & SON." Provenance: The Malcolm King Collection

Rating Definition:

Fine with most of the refinished brown on the barrel, mostly gray and brown patina on the balance, some mild pitting, recut signature and breech plug engraving, replacement rear sight, and mild wear. The stock is fine with crisp checkering, general minor dings and scratches, some small period repairs, and smooth refreshed finish. Mechanically fine.
