Description:

The accompanying factory letter confirms the 8 inch barrel, blue finish and smooth walnut grips. The revolver was likely shipped on June 10, 1872 and delivered to M.W. Robinson Co., New York City. The barrel rib legend ends with "RUSSIAN MODEL." The right grip panel is numbered to the gun. Matching assembly numbers on the grip frame, cylinder, barrel and barrel latch. This revolver is from the collection of world famous American country singer and song writer Hank Williams Jr. and includes a certificate of authenticity confirming his ownership as well as the aforementioned factory letter, which is addressed to him. Provenance: The Hank Williams Jr.'s Collection

Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with a smooth dark gray patina on the balance. Some original case colors remain on the hammer, and the trigger guard has faded to a silver gray. Lanyard swivel removed. The grips are very good with a couple tiny chips at the bottom, high edge wear and minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
