Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% plus original blue and 80% oil-quenched casehardened finish with some light scratches and areas of light flaking. The extractor retains 90% plus of the bright fire blue finish with some scattered light spotting. Stock is excellent with rich oil finish, some light handling marks, crisp grasping grooves, and a crisp cartouche. Mechanically excellent. Included bayonet and scabbard are both fine with a chip on the bayonet handle. A superb example of a U.S. Model 1896 Krag-Jorgensen rifle!
