Blued steel chopper lump barrels with raised beaded blade front and three position (100, 200, and 300 yards) rear sights on the matted, solid rib which is marked "DANIEL FRASER & Co LTD./GUN & RIFLE MANUFACTURERS/LONDON & EDINBURGH." The right barrel is marked "CALIBRE 9.3 m/m X 74 R", the flats show an older set of proofs for "360EX" and its loading along with London Nitro proofs, and both barrels have a single band of engraving at the breech. The casehardened boxlock action features light border engraving, "DANIEL FRASER & Co LTD." in banners on either side, carved fences, sideclips, bushed firing pins, double triggers, and tang mounted safety switch with additional bolted safety. Beautiful, highly figured splinter forend with engraved fittings and Anson style release and pistol grip stock with tear drop flats, cheekpiece, inscription oval with a hand inside a sun motif, and red rubber recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case with "M.E." on the lid and "9.3" in white paint on one end containing two snap caps and a leather sling. Length of pull 14 3/4 inches. Weight 10 lbs 3 oz. Very fine, retaining 95% professionally reapplied blue, 40% original case colors mostly in the protected areas, some areas of minor spotting, and mild handling evidence. The wood is also very fine with scattered small dings and scratches, a slight filler repair next to the bottom tang, a filled sling swivel hole behind the current sling swivel, and crisp checkering. The case is good with moderate wear. Mechanically excellent.
