Blue Bohler Spezial steel barrels with ramped beaded blade front sight and fixed rear sight and German style claw mounts on the raised quarter rib at the breech end which is marked "MADE IN AUSTRIA". The barrels also bear standard Austrian proofs and are stamped in multiple place with the maker's mark of Ludwig Borovnik. The coin finished, scalloped, bolstered boxlock action displays a trio of elephants in an oasis, the right has three cape buffalo in a grassland scene, and the underside shows a lion standing atop his next meal, all surrounded by scroll designs. The trigger guard is marked "Floig's" with a cabin scene engraved below. The rifle features dual adjustable triggers, bushed lower firing pin, ejectors, and tang mounted safety switch. Highly figured, multi-point checkered stock with Deeley latch forend and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. Includes a Hensoldt Wetzlar Diavari-D 1.5-6x scope. Ludwig Borovnik is one of the most prolific gunmakers firm's in Ferlach with a history stretching back generations to Ludwig Borovnik I opening his shop in 1848. Since then the tradition has passed down the generations garnering a high end client list as it went, including President Josip Tito of Yugoslavia, King Juan Carlos de Borbon of Spain, and U.S. President George H. W. Bush. Today the company is run by Ludwig Borovnik IV who continues the family tradition as one of Ferlach premier gun makers. Length of pull 14 inches. Weight 10 lbs 1 oz.

Excellent, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, minor handling evidence, some oil staining on the action, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The scope optics are clear. Mechanically excellent.
