Manufactured in 2002. Blued Krupp-Stahl barrels with single brass bead sight on the matted, concave solid rib which is marked "147EL 20 Ga", standard markings, 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and choke constrictions of .008/.018 inches. The scalloped, sideclipped boxlock action features a pair of hares on the left and a trio of water fowl on the right all surrounded by floral scroll engraving, double triggers, bushed firing pins, and an automatic tang mounted safety. The toplever is silver inlaid with "EL". The action is signed on the left side with a stylized "MK" for Merkel engraver Matthias Koch. Highly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and straight grip stock with Merkel buttplate. Includes the original factory box with end labels listing many of the features and shipping box. Stock measurements: 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 5/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 2 oz.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and coin finishes, minor handling evidence, a few small marks on the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The box is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
