Manufactured usually for commercial market, this particular Walther HP (Heeres Pistole = Army Pistol) was marked for acceptance by the German Waffenamt for military use. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the commercial style banner, address, 9 m/m caliber and "Mod. HP" on the left side of the slide, matching numbers and "eagle/N" commercial proofs in the proper places, and the "eagle/359" proof on the right side of the slide. Fitted with a set of ribbed brown plastic grips and a later "P.38v" marked magazine. Includes a black leather flap holster, marked "bla/44" on the back and hand-signed "M.R. Murphy" inside the flap, and an extra magazine.

Excellent, with 90% plus original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear and mild handling marks overall. The grips are very fine, with a few light scuffs. The holster is very good, with mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
